Fox Corp (FOXA) has acquired Mexico's Caliente TV, a strategic MOVE to expand its sports broadcasting dominance in Latin America. The deal grants Fox rights to premium football content including UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, and Liga MX matches—addressing growing regional demand for competitive sports programming.

The media giant plans a multi-platform rollout spearheaded by Carlos Martinez, its Latin America chief with three decades of industry experience. New offerings will include a pay-TV channel and subscription VOD service, complementing Fox's existing ad-supported Tubi platform. Financial terms remain undisclosed, but the acquisition aligns with Fox's broader streaming strategy following recent expansions.
